As a weekend bike hack-mechanic, I initially thought I was way over my head on this beauty... But research and very helpful assistance/parts sourcing from a few MTBR friends had the P22 finished within a few months of ownership. Although I have had this bike completed for over a year now, there were some minor details I wasn't completely satisfied with. The Ritchey Force black stem I intitially acquired was functionally OK, but visually looked like crap. The black Ritchey Force bar just did not seem quite right as well. The Logic cranks had deep scratches on the arms and the logos were practically gone. Even the Ritchey Vector Ti Saddle, although comfortable and period correct, never seemed visually "right".
So, fast forward a year and some proper changes have been made. New silver Ritchey Force 140 mm stem (rather than the initial 130mm), silver Ritchey Prolite bars and polished the Logic cranks (lot's of work there... :shock
. Also, added the proverbial Flite Ti saddle and now I think I finally have this rig dialed. After a few decent rides and some tweaking here and there, I am also happy to say I believe the "fit" is where it needs to be. She rides amazingly well and I feel extremely lucky to have such an iconic ride!
