a few follow up observations:
The crest rims are a bit of a pain I had to go to custom wheel smith DB spokes and the rims need a lower tension. So a few re tension sessions to date. Sure they are light but not as hassle free as mavic 717's!!!
Tire choice is a bit limited in 2.0 sizes here in NZ.
The bike is excellent on single track, smooth easy to flick around roll better over stuff and it's light!!!!!! Compared to my 26ers it is better but I have yet to try it on tight downhill stuff. Well worth the $$$$$$$$$$$$$
