Thanks mate ;)

It's all just WD40!

If I'm honest, the paint is the only thing I feel less enthused with, as it's not smoooooooth! But it is hard wearing powder coat.
Could get it re-finished at some point in the future, should I decide I like it enough

I haven't got a red bike   . . . . Yet !

Re:

Thanks Paul ;)

I could just get a nice shiny clear coat over the top maybe. Or just ride it as it is

Yes, that sounds like a good plan

Maybe, just maybe, this weekend

Hey Muz hows it going with the lovely P-22 mate and did you manage to go on a good trek with it ;) ..

Re:

It's been waiting patiently in the kitchen.

The trails around here are pretty crap right now, so don't want to mash a new drivetrain through that on it's maiden voyage! Will post pics when I do though mate ;)

I don't blame you not taking it out just yet if it's that bad on the trails but we can't help the weather can we so i will just have to pray for some sun in the mean time then ;) ..

Re:

Hey! Mike,  what a super job you've done on this , and coming in at 21.54lbs  Jesus! that's some light steel bike.

I didn't noticed if you'd listed it, but what does the bare frame and fork weigh?

Only thing I would personally change is the tyres, or more the colour, I think a set of Amber walled ritcheys would be the finishing touch to what is an awesome build.

Carry on the good work  ;) :)

Re:

Thanks mister

1870g frame, 775g forks

I had a major stroke of luck with the Wheels, Nick offered me a pair for FREE! With silver rims, so once stripped-down and built with the right hubs, I got the wheels I wanted.
Black rims and amberwalls would also be nice, but a lot of money, when I had these tyres anyway
The bottle tops on the thumbies stayed too.
Now have some silver Ritchey pedals! Better than black?.
Or put silver on Scott?

Just under 6lb for the frameset is pretty damn light for a steel Kona  ..
