Ritchey Logic bottom brackets: no dust seal?

Hi,

Just wondering, as I couldn't find a NIB Ritchey Logic bottom bracket, only NOS, opened box. Did they come with a dust seal, as Shimano BB-M730 bottom bracket for example (part #9 in https://si.shimano.com/fr/pdfs/ev/BB-M730-1090/EV-BB-M730-1090.pdf)? If no, is it recommended to install one? If yes, any compatible brand/model you would recommend?

The Super Logic ones didn’t come with one in the box, presumably you can find something to fit if you feel it is necessary (on anything with a cutout in the BB for instance) but they did not feel it was important enough to include. The bearings are well sealed.

Good point on the sealed bearings. The Ritchey non-Super Logic bottom brackets however came with standard ball bearings in ball retainers. Now that you're talking about sealed bearings... Well, no, in the end. I just checked a Suntour XC Pro bottom bracket: it came with standard ball bearings too and no dust seal. For one moment, I thought that bottom brackets with sealed bearings came without a dust seal and the ones with standard bearings came with. But there's no obvious answer then.
