Riser bars - Timeline - when and who?

I've got some of those TTT's in the garage I'd be willing to sell.

They have a central shim which makes them easier to stick in stems that don't have removeable faceplates.

I wouldn't say Club-Roost is junk... but it does have a certain downmarket image from when MBUK told us all to stick risers on everything.

Salsa/Ross Shafer TTT Go Bar...

...but then you already knew that! ;)

True.....aye, I did know this :)

Thanks everyone else for the excellent responses though.....risers have always been The Work Of The Devil for Mr Flat Bar Neill......but time's they are a changing.....Something evil this way comes

Seem to remember the club roost go-fast bar being developed for Insane Wayne Croasdale to ride in slalom events. Early ones had the brace which was soon ditched. Azonic were pretty soon to follow as were Answer with the Alumnite which weighed as mush as a small horse.

I think that is round two for the TTT/Salsa bar. My old bar was silver with a blue bolt on cross-brace. I think that was the first version.

i lusted after risers in early 1996, ended up with clubroost comp2 in the summer, kept the cross brace which became unfashionable in about late 1997.

Dont you mean 'when did risers make a come back?' early MTB style bikes had risers and the clunkers cut down motorbike parts
