Just bought a frame and bits from him. Such a gent to deal with and his knowledge of all things bike and his enthusiasm for it all was catching.

I am incredibly shocked and sad to hear this news. I have recently been talking to him about his old Dekerf SS i bought last year, and he was always helpful and friendly. I was very pleased he gave me his time and knowledge as i'd read his articles since i was a lad.

RIP steve. I hope your now somewhere riding endless dusty singletrack.

Very sorry to hear this. I remember him when I was a teenager in the 90's just getting into mountain biking, the days when MBUK was worth buying!
