Are the STI 8 or 9 speed?

I recently changed to 9 as cassettes and chains are too hard to find

Sorry my wrong. M950 derailleur can run with 8/9 speed if im not wrong again

They are 8speed. I do have an m950 cassette to go with it if you want and an 8 speed sram chain. The v-brakes are yours.

Why dont buy all m950 i got hubs laced to mavic sup 217/517, bb was NOS when i bought it ridden for maybe 20km, shifter/brake units, crankarms NOS when bought ridden 20km but one is 175mm the other 172.5mm offers please.....
