Here's my Rikulau Reynolds 931 frame with S&S couplers. The original frame is a Rikulau which I had converted to S&S couplers last year. S&S couplers allow the frame to be split, to fit into a case that is within airlines normal dimensions for standard luggage. Which means you don't have to pay extra fees to take it, depending on the airline.

I flew with BA last year, and this was within my 25kg hold luggage allowance & I had a cabin bag with my other stuff. It also means you can get it onto Eurostar trains with not booking it on. The case fits into our trains luggage racks too.

Sadly its a bit on the small side for me, hence its for sale, so I can have a custom frame built with S&S couplers. I wouldn't sell it otherwise, as it climbs and descends as well as any carbon bike I've taken to the mountains. You won't see anything like this, unless you have one made, its a beautiful frame.

Cost me £950 as the frame, plus £500 to have the S&S couplers done, and only one trip to the Alps last year.

Frame size is seat tube 48cm CtoC 52.5 centre to top, top tube 54cm effective top tube, headtube 13cm. There's 8cm of steer tube above the headset, so lots of adjustment for fit. Its at the max for Easton's recommended length

Frame geometry here, its a medium

The S&S couplers don't affect the stiffness of the frame, you don't notice them when riding at all. They don't come loose whilst riding, either.

Included in this sale are the frame, full carbon forks (Easton SL90's), FSA headset, seatpost and seat clamp, front mech hanger, S&S spanner & gear cable splitters. I didn't bother with brake cable splitters as the brake cable guides are slotted.

£800 ono UK shipping included, overseas shipping to be agreed.

Any questions please ask
