rigid forks (longer axle to crown)

Hi guys. To cut a long story short.

My bike currently has suspension forks with axle to crown 425mm.

I've just got a set of rigid forks with axle to crown 440mm

I'm not worried about geometry, handling etc as the bike will barely be used and only on cycle paths etc. (plus higher front end will be beneficial to me). What I want to know is will it be safe to fit the rigid fork with a 15mm longer A-C or is that going to put too much stress on the headtube? Probably a daft question but never converted suspension to rigid before and I know slightly less is ok but wasn't sure about slightly more. Thanks in advance.

Re:

I completely forgot about Frank.

Just wasn't sure if 15mm longer plus no sag would put too much stress on the frame (It's my old Muirwoods so think I'd cry if the frame cracked). The old InSync forks are a bit tired and after being neglected for over a year I want to rejuvenate her with a bit of a makeover and make her more rideable for me.
