Riding your bike in February.

I dont like the sticky clay mud we have around here, my lungs just fur up in anything below 5c and then theres the bloody headwinds trying to blow you in every direction except for a nice one.

I think I'll go to the pub.

Yes, took my RSP550 out last weekend (Jan). Probably have a go this weekend too if weather is okay.

Grey, cold, windy, miserable :( This weather takes all the fun out of riding.

Re:

Aye, '96 M2 came out with me on Friday night; frost sparkles from the front wheel and breath plumes in the headlights always pretty. South downs is slimy clay so no chance until a run of dry days last week, then the chalk underneath drys quick... Quite a lot of claggy slop in the woods and wooded bridleways mind, but mainly entertaining power slides and wiggles rather than murderous churn...

Back in Feb '95, we had snow and freezing fog. One evening I went out with a few mates out onto a flooded and frozen Portholme, hair had frozen, front mech had frozen and the front of the bike had a layer of ice from the freezing fog. If anyone fell off on the ice, we'd rush up and kick it in so they got a wet arse. :D

Nope. It's -12 today, been either below zero, or blowing a gale and pissing down for the entirety of january, and forecast to be the same for at least the next couple of weeks.
Might get a bike out soon, but not counting on it.

Turbo and loud music for me.
