Riding retro today?

I went out with a "no bike owning" friend today, we went approximately 25 miles around Retford & Worksop.
He doesn't know how lucky he is, I lent him my Dave Lloyd Cats Wiskas  , while I was on my Kona Hot :D .

My Avanti SS is currently seeing service as my commuter bike, until I get my Trek 730 up and running, so I do about 35 miles a day on it.

I ride retro most days, because my retro steeds are better than my modern bike.

Monday I rode 55km of mixed cycle path/road/single track.
Today will be about the same, even if the weather does not look good.

I'm taking the modern bike today.

I wanted to take a retro bike for a ride before breakfast.
But I found my Azonic stem was twisted and wouldn't slide onto the fork steerer of the bike I wanted to ride. One hour and several stems later...

I give up.
I'm taking the path of least resistance = a bike that works

I'll be out on the '88 Explosif this evening. I'd probably prefer to be on a singlespeed but I like to give the old thing a blast around now and again.
