Riding out from Bangor

Hi,

I'm up in Bangor next week with work on the train, might be able to squeeze a quick ride in; was wondering if there's any offroad trails/routes within 30min or so pedal time of the metropolis? Bridleways and tame stuff all welcome... Quite out of shape and riding a rigid stumpy... Alternatively if there's a short train hop to a good starting point that would be good!

Any help/suggestions massively appreciated.

Feels like there should be loads but I'm not familiar with that corner - I'd probably start by looking at other people's routes on Strava or Ride With GPS, see what's popular.

Yep - I thought it'd be a bit 'roll out the hotel door and pedal straight up a goat track' type country too! Great point on those sites - will do that, cheers.
