Ride quality of 1989 Diamondback Axis/Apex straight fork?

Yea , exactly. I was running the demo's at Alan's a while back . Scott sent us some amazing bikes . 3 grand Scales and Geniuses. Absolutely amazing bikes , in every respect , BUT , just so damn good that they were missing something.
It takes away the very thing that attracted me to MTB ing in the first place.

well i picked up the Apex in the first post.. I don't notice the ride being any harsher with the straight fork
