Eroica project at minimum expense!

My todo list is:
Rear derailleur, but what is the original (front is a Huret and a keeper)
Saddle
Do these shifters qualify? If not shifters to match derailleurs
Stem
The brakes are rubbish but I think replacement might be a step too far.

Then remove rack, clean and lube, brown leather bar tape. Finish!!!

Any advice gratefully received, bike arrives Saturday would like to start sourcing parts in anticipation.

Cheers

Matt

Re:

Looks like the rr mech has been replaced at some point , might pay to wait till bike arrives then try and match up with fr mech .

Bar end shifters should be fine

Brakes try some new cables and koolstop pads and see how that feels

oh and enjoy it feel free to pop pics and info on the R.E.W Reynolds facebook page

Re:

I think the rear mech has probably been switched for one that could cope with the massive granny gear on the back. If you decide to swap it your replacement might struggle with such a big sprocket.

Re:

I don't think it was originally a triple hence the long cage. I'm tempted to stick with the end shifters if they index then I'll wind the adjuster screw on the front mech to make it a double and source a Shimano 600 rear mech maybe (then she'll probably need to keep the 28 on the back). I believe all Shimano bar end shifters index and my missus will prefer that.
At the moment so it doesn't ruffle too many Eroica feathers I'm probably going to change to "vintage" looking saddle, stem and brake levers (dia compe). Remove plastic toe clips and tidy up whilst thinking about the rear mech. It will have to go but whether it will be a huret eco or something else can wait.
