Right, this is driving me nuts.
I've been aligning the 'N' of the Hutchinson with the valve, then after 50 or so fairly extreme offroad miles the bloody tyre has slipped round. Running it tubeless so maybe that's the cause, though weirdly the tyre hasn't burped or lost pressure.

Obviously, I have to take the tyre off and realign it after every ride despite the fact that nobody but me will see or notice it.

Enjoy.

Re:

Firstly I feel I should point out that I have not been *diagnosed with this particular medical condition but as a typographer can I point out that the middle of the brand name is the centre of the right hand stroke of the letter 'H' :D

*but I did measure the type on screen with a vernier scale :D

Clean and degrease the inner surface of the rim, clean and degrease the bead of the tyre, use decent (cloth) rim tape of the correct size.

Should get you to 80 miles per letters worth of slippage.

Ahhh, and that brings up another thorny issue - to centre on the brand name or the cluster of typographical gubbins that manufacturers like to put on tyres?

I think it's the fact it's a tubeless set up that is causing this creep.

Tempted just to get the black marker pen out, but I think we all know that would just be masking the issue rather than bravely facing up to it.

Start with just the first 'H' - I mean it's a fairly silent H so won't be terribly missed in the grand scheme of things, plus it should centre everything up nicely again.
