Retrobike resolutions 2025?

I lead a PMO for a living. How else do you think I get things done? 🤣😉 Nothing drives me more potty than unattainable, wishy-washy objectives!

Good luck with the move. It sounds exciting. Virtual fist-bump on the driver's for moving. Pretty much the same for us a few years back.
Ahh, as a BA interested in the fun stuff I need one of you to keep me on track for all the bloody report updates I need to give each week and usually ignore until chased 😂 No wonder you like a good set of objectives!

Cheers! I'm looking forward to it. Gradually getting things together and the hope is that I'll have shifted by the end of summer but we'll see, best laid plans and all that.

Accept that I probably won't sell anything.
Accept that the old tat pile is likely to grow.
Accept there's nowt wrong with that.
Carry on with the fettling and riding, it's part of me, brings some sort of serenity and I thoroughly enjoy it, so why not? :)

1) Actually finish the current bike build.
2) Sell at least one of my bikes I don't use, now I no longer live in the city.
3) Convert my commuter Kona AA into an e-bike so I am not cursing the late night ride back from the train station in the wind and cold.

Well, I've progressed one already. Bike for my youngest is taking shape. Just need to add some hope tech brakes with team green accents, a chain and cable up. Should be done before the week is out.

1. Ride more, as ordered by the doctor. Type 2 diabetes is a high risk for me now (genetics) so I have no excuses not to do tons of long rides.

2. No new bikes. Instead, finish off a couple of projects I've had on the go for way to long, and be more focused about it. Maybe 2026 could have 2 new bikes, though (CX and/or gravel/adventure).

3. Decide which of my bikes are disposable tools to be used and as functional as possible, which are impractical pieces of bike art, and which ones I'll keep as period correct occasional rides.

4. Pass my B2 Portuguese exam.

5. Start preparing to take on the GDMBR.

6. Recreate this photo with my MT4:

Mine is quite simple.

Ride my retro bike more.

Rode my modern bikes loads this last 12 months but the retro didn't make it off the Turbo trainer (partly due to me not wanting to ride it in the wet).
