I haven't been right since that day Tony!

Ok ok I have to finally admit to myself that I ain't gunna make it.
That's the second ride I have missed.
Crap.
Have a good one.

'Twas pigging horrible commuting to work today... went from my house down to Hayfield campsite, up Mount Famine to Peep O Day then down Maynestone Road to Chinley. Very very wet very soft, hadn't dried up much by home time (same route reversed).

Pray tell... what is the itinerary? Might be able to slip out for a quick pint, or even a quick spin Sunday morning

I can't wait. 1. meet fellow retroer's :D 2. off road on the Trimble :D (not often enough :( )
3. My first holiday of sorts since 03 Bangkok.
:D :D

Never realy found mud to be much of a problem in the peaks.
Fog, sideways rain, rocky rivers and exposure are much more of a concern.
If I was going, would be on the fattest tyres I could fit.

gutted.

Now tyre choice just adds to the complication of what bike to bring - is the advice for tyres that are decent in cloggy conditions or fatter ones (given that my frames don't fit usefully wide tyres anyway) that will become slick at the first sign of mud but will be great otherwise?

Damn, I hate being a Libran
