Re:

Just to add: Many thanks Kaya and Gil for guiding us round a terrific route. Big scenery was everything I expected of it. The riding was good with some tricky stuff thrown in, although it was the straight trails that seem to keep catching me out! Sorry I kept falling off - must have been due to the altitude or being so far North! Three excursions off into the heather and one proper dumping on the floor - fortunately a soft landing. I have more bites, scratches, grazes and bruises than I thought possible. Surprisingly bumpy too - there was a definite rise in the level of grumbling about nether regions towards the end of the ride. After jumping straight into the car and sitting down for several hours, by the time I got home I felt like I had lost an arse kicking contest - badly! Sorry I had to shoot off sharpish at the end of the ride, and apologies to anyone I didn't get to say cheerio to. High points - the company as usual, the views, witnessing Pete taking lightweight components well beyond their elastic limit, the food and Yorkshire in general. Low points - falling off, falling off and falling off. Oh and making the mistake of nipping for a pee in that campsite toilet
A couple of pics:

If you do take a trip to Whitby, I recommend you go and take a look at this. It really is impressive.

See you in the Peaks: Chris.
