I thought you meant the bike was donated!

Ahh now that's another story

and I have proof of a certain member riding a modern "Hire" bike complete with reflectors in the wheels,
however there was "good iron" paid for the said privilege

Photographic evidence can be produced of those gorgeous wheels.

Noooooo! The shame of it.

Re:

Spence has stayed in the pods, and he spoke positively of the experience........(let's face it, if they can get him into one without his feet poking out then we all will be comfortable!).....the ride would be even better with a mayhem style camp and ghost stories round a barbie!.....

Big up for MiniNinjaRob who in helping out, missed his lunch .... and when he did catch up with his burger that had sat on our table for 40 mins it was stone cold.... had I not been a vegi I'd have eaten it for him (before it was cold) as it just looked so forlorn sitting there waiting ;)

Joking aside Mr Ninja, I'm glad your selfless act was recognised at the end of the ride

Oh Crap i missed out on the theft of another burger and what looks like a great day. I was so consumed with life that i forgot all about the day and only realised today that it was on saturday. uhmmmmm debenture kicking in.

thanks andy

I thanked Blazing Bikes for their help and here is their response:

"Hi Rob,
Glad the ride all went well and that we could be of some help. Would be cool if you could organise a weekend and stay in the Pods. Let me know if you ever want to do this and I can sort you out a top price."
Cheers
Will"

Now there's an offer that is making me look hard at weekend commitments.

This might go some way to making up for missing Saturday! :D :D :D

Re:

I might be up for that. We could get horribly drunk - I think I have still got a bottle of that Sloe Gin I was telling you about in the cupboard Pete. Mynd you, that climb would be a bit noisy the following morning...

Re:

We could do what we usually do: get leathered after a big ride Saturday and just pretend we're going to ride again on the Sunday ... right up until midday on the Sunday when we decide to get lunch instead*

*this is invariably Charlieboy's fault, I'm always up for the hangover ride, truly I am
