Retrobike Merchandise

RetroBike branded balaclava and shotgun set would be useful for funding the habit and getting in front of the old duffers at the Post Office once in a while.

water bottles are a common item these days, you'd think the promo companies could do you them for a few quid per bottle

For instance-
ebay job-lots has job lots of Adidas bottles in lots of 40 for 50 quid

I'll quote myself above ;)
did a search and
http://www.sportbottle.co.uk/ though think minimum order is 100 and a setup fee, I think for initial 100 it about £2.50 each to have them made for a large bottle.

subsequent orders will be cheaper per bottle (that £2.50 includes setup fee)
It's about £2.00 for the smaller sized bottle.
Seem to supply schools etc ?

Other than that I know nothing about them, not recommending just pointing them out.

Is £2 / £2.5 + RetroBike profit considered to much for a bottle.
Is 100+ bottles too many.

anyways, other places

no idea about them either.

I've search for chainstay protectors but cannot find anything.

The Sig Bottles are a LOT more expensive, though I 've only ever used Sig bottle with Meths

.. :?

£2 / 2.5 + RB profit sounds very good to me 8)

BITD Sigg blue = coated inside = consumable fluids and Sigg silver = non coated = fuels. I have a small silver one for my petrol stove but its in far better condition to my two above

I dont know if those guidelines still stand though :?

Edited to add that I have never used or considered using a Sigg on my bike, I didnt even know they would fit in the cage

It doesn't sound bad until you factor in paypal fees, postage and packaging. That very quickly chews through any profit and at the end of the day there needs to be some margin in it to be worthwhile. I don't mind doing the odd low volume thing with low / non-existent margin but something like the bottles (which would be a major undertaking) needs to pay its way. Anyhow that's the end of pricing discussion as far as I'm concerned.

Smoking jacket could be good. Felt suit you sir?

John, There is a company in the states that my Le Mans buddies over at Beermountain.com use. They look like they do everything (I got some Converse stylee sneaks last month) and I don't think there are any minimum runs- you just send your design, set up your store and they do whatever gets ordered. Also they have the online store and handle the shipping- saving a lot of hassle. I will look for a link for you if you like?

Prices are OK considering the strength of the $$ at the moment too.

Yes, I would have expected the RB bit to (at least) double the final cost, but as said - still sounds good to me  8)
