iPhone app ...

Who in their right mind still uses iPhones in the Android era?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I'll get my coat ...

Same phone as mine mate. How do you resize them on the handset? I can't seem to figure it out :?:

Just view it in the web browser, this obsession with "Apps" 1111lulz kewl toss if pitiful.

It's a web site, you view it in a web browser.

Free re-size photo app

That is my biggest gripe not being able to upload photos from my iPhone. (it's a company phone before anyone says android)

I think the OP wanted a bit more than pic uploading though. Browsing a forum in a "browser", especially one like this that isn't optimised for mobile devices, is a PITA and uses far more data than would be required with an optimised solution. If you don't want to use an app and are happy to use a browser you can carry on and do so.

I don't understand why there should be so much hate over a simple request TBH, seems a little bizarre. Just because YOU don't want to use an app to browse the forum, nobody should be allowed to ?

At the end of the day though it's whoever is responsible for maintaining the forum that needs to make the decision. I have no idea who that is. From a forum host PoV it takes around 10 minutes to install the server side software for one of these apps to work. To optimise phpBB for mobile devices (small screen browsing) would be a major undertaking by comparison.

This has been discussed before. As and when we move to a newer version of phpbb3 we'll look at tapatalk or similar.

Have to agree with FMJ the popup is a PITA for those who prefer to browse using the native OS browser...

Must admit I hate the "nag" software too.

TouchBB doesn't have a "nag" feature and works with phpBB2 and 3.

Tapatalk can have the "nag" feature removed when you install the script on the forum.
