retro Zaskar on eBay - not an LE

That 97 CNC frame is a work of art, probably their best incarnation - makes mine look like scaffolding, there is no finesse about it at all

I still think this an LE, just a bit older, . But arguing over a couple of sticky bits of plastic film when a Zasker is a Zasky is a Zaskar (unless its that '97 LE - which I now want - even if its just to to touch and polish)

Scaffolding:

The only original bit left is the seatclamp with its tired and worn ti seat bolt - decals from when they were cheap on Ebay USA

Zaskars actually changed every year but only very slight differences. Which is why I can ID one without a serial even.

The only frame that didn’t change is 96 to 97 standard Zaskars. All other years had changes.

mine still has the riveted cable guides - being on this site a loooong time, there used to be a few prototypes and oddities as well as very odd ones, drop outs on the wrong way round (SN on the outside, GT inside)

What erks me about the ebay one is how far the Zaskar decal is back along the top tube allowing space for that naughty LE

Also worth pointing out that 97 LE didn’t have canti brake routing but normal Zaskars did in 97.

98 Normal Zaskars then gained the intergrated seat clamp and butted headtube. But did away with the canti routing

Decals on the silver one are 96. However the frame is 93-95.

If it has riveted cable routing it’s a 93/94. But sometimes frames did break the rules.
