Retro X-Lite bar ends.

Chain Reaction don't seem to remove old items from their listings. It's interesting, to see how much an item actually sold for when new, but frustrating when you try to buy.

Best place for x-lite stubbies is ebay, or a wanted ad here.

I have got several pairs of stubbies and ski ends, NOS or in good condition from the bay, but it depends what colour you are looking for as to how long you'll have to wait.

Sorry, I'm not selling any of mine, I'm always on the hunt.

There are a nice red pair on ebay at present though.

So they didn't do a run of the retro type?
Was told they did.
Just got outbid on a black pair, they went for £16 + £4 postage, they weren't excellent.
Don't think the red ones would suit mine, it's got lots of red bits already.
Have got a mint pair of black ski bars and was thinking of just cutting them down.
:)

 Sorry about that, but I REALLY wanted them for my Roberts DB.

I don't know if they did a final run, as the X-Lite brand was bought a few years ago by an American company. At the time they said they were going to keep production running and develop new products... but I guess they didn't, which is no real surprise. Maybe they did a final run, using up existing materials, and then failed to capitalise on the brand. Who knows, but I've seen it a dozen times before.

I know they did the muc-off and that and thought they were going back into making proper components again.

It's not quite a truly reflecting, it's the last price CRC had them for sale at. Often the clear out price.

You don't want to know how much I bid. That's the first black stubbies I've seen, and as ebay was throwing a few typical Sunday afternoon wobblies, I just threw a huge bid in the last few seconds. I was a little surprised when the price jumped from £4.70 to £15.80something, but, like I said, I really wanted them.

Anyway, job done, so the next pair are yours ;)

Good luck in your search.
