The chassis is deffo a Fire dragon but body shell is more like the thundershot . maybe different spec for different countries as i bought it new .

Does it have yellow oil dampers shocks at the front?.

If it does not and have Coil over springs - I think the shocks were Red or Blue then it could be a Saint Dragon - the body on this looks similar to the Thundershot.

Also does it have adjustable top suspension arms. Fire dragon and Thundershots were fixed. Terrascorcha have adjustable at factory spec.

it has got yellow ones , with oil and spring . Bouht it in 1987/1988 .

Cheers brocklanders, your quickly rising to legendary status.

  You're too kind!

Just had a quick check and I've got a spare tranny (tatty), reciever, charger, battery, and servo. None are tested but I will before you have them. I guess any that work would save you a few quid? Might not have time to test them for a while but they're yours if you want 'em. :D

That would be fantastic, I'm in no rush, so whenever you can send them will be fine. Just let me know what you want for them & don't skimp on the postage. Just contact me by PM when your ready to post & have decided on how many beer tokens will be required.

Few pictures of my collection at the moment.

1st are my new in box re-releases, Hotshot and Lunchbox. Think the Hotshot will go without ever being built, once again to fund some bike bling.

2nd are my current Avante chassis collection, Egress (pride and joy but stored for now and without decals. New built), Vanquish (dusty but new built), and Avante 2001 (restored with many new bits including new original Tamiya body shell. Soon to go to fund retro bike bits).

3rd is a pile of resto's, bits, and boxed up buggies in need of a sort out.

So along with Star Wars (of course, standard), Technic Lego and Kona's you're now onto my other old obsession; radio controlled cars.

I started with this:

Then went onto this:

And finished with this:

I still have my ZX up in the loft, untouched since I stopped racing back at school circa '93/4. I'd upgraded it with all sorts; Tekken electronic speed controller, alloy wishbones (I think), some crazy motor (can't remember the 5x4 8 double, whatever?!) and fancy long life battery. All of that didn't cure the fact I was pretty average when it came to racing it!

i remembered an old video from the 1987 IFMAR Worlds from 1987 was on youtube. should be some old cars & names you recognise on there.
this is the main A final!

i'm good friends with Jamie Booth & still race with him a few times a year & i raced with Pete Stevens only last weekend!
its good to see some of the old names are still racing ;)

actually there was a "legends" race at Eden Park raceway yesterday during the 2wd national championship event & the 4wd event is running today :!:
