just an observation, but are the wheels on the Capri not the RS500 wheels?

nope , they are from the taisan starcard porsche 911 gt2 ta02sw chassis. it's been the hardest shell to find , this is the 2nd one i've ever seen so i had to get it .

and the sierra is made by koysho but would look good with them wheels lol....

Great thread, here's the Tamiya Hotshot I built a couple of years ago. I've always wanted one since Gump & his brother had a Thundershot & something else BITD. (I keep thinking Supershot, but it wasn't, the model name escapes me).

Obviously it's not looking quite so pristine now.

I have a TA RC10 ...1 of the early ones, I think I still have the box too. Dont suppose you know if its worth anything like the Avante do you? If so I may have to go on a loft session.

If it's a really old one in great nick it could well be worth quite a bit. Maybe not as much as the Avante though cos the price for those has gone through the roof recently (hence the sale )

Funny this should come up on here now....below is a pic in my lounge tonight. Restoring an old Tamiya Egress. Collecting some of the special ones, really after an Avante but too much money for a good one. Also in my colelction a mint Bigwig and Boomerang(cos it was my first car back when I was a kid)

All these things are the same reason we collect retrobikes I'm sure. Remembering what we wanted when we where young and now finally being able to buy them.

Totally agree with you mate. I was desperate for an Egress BITD. Ended up with about 5 Egress and 4 Avante's at my collecting peak! Just got my minter Eg now. I've got loads of spares if you need anything for your resto.

Had a Bigwig and 2 Boomerangs a few years back. Lovely buggies.

It depends what you're after. Back when I was seriously collecting any old tat went for quite a lot. From watching the ebay market now it seems that the top condition gear goes for more than ever but the other bits seem to have calmed down a bit.

Think along the lines of retro bikes for pricing and you will not go far wrong.

but if im going to be stood on some scaffolding i want to be semi competitive

the inferno was the top 1/8 rallycross car from what i remember back then so getting hold of one of them would be nice . personally i prefer the idea of battery but the club is nitro only
