i'm doing another sierra as a road car just now..........

i have wayyyyyy too much time on my hands

I was really in to retro r/c a few years back and still have quite a few left including:
Tamiya Egress,
Tamiya Terra Scorcher,
Tamiya Vanquish,
Tamiya Avante 2001,
TA RC10.
Also got a box full of retro on-road cars that I got off a pal. Not had a proper look at what they are yet. Just sold a Tamiya Avante for £676  . Used the cash to fund loads of retro bike bits :D
When I was collecting I went for the late '80s early '90s Tamiya buggies. Same period for my bikes now. Guess it's the good old 'couldn't afford them at the time' excuse.
Here's a pic of my Avante before it went.

Funny this should come up on here now....below is a pic in my lounge tonight. Restoring an old Tamiya Egress. Collecting some of the special ones, really after an Avante but too much money for a good one. Also in my colelction a mint Bigwig and Boomerang(cos it was my first car back when I was a kid)

All these things are the same reason we collect retrobikes I'm sure. Remembering what we wanted when we where young and now finally being able to buy them.

Texaco Cosworth looks cool

O/T but I remember seeing those on a video my dad played in the showroom at his dealership, called 'The Year Of The Sierra'.

I bought a Tamiya TL01 Chassis last year but got bored when I'd built the thing up... It's the same with bikes though isn't it?

I have a TA RC10 ...1 of the early ones, I think I still have the box too. Dont suppose you know if its worth anything like the Avante do you? If so I may have to go on a loft session.
