Retro Rabasa with disc brake

While on holiday last week I snapped this bike in Barcelona's Eixample district, having been drawn to it by the unusual front fork/disc brake arrangement! Looks like the bike left the factory that way as the forks have a cable guide braze on and no rim brake mounting posts. (The rear brake was a standard canti setup).

Wikipedia has a short but interesting history of the Rabasa company: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabasa_Cycles. Does anyone know anything more about these bikes, or perhaps own one?

Indeed, which would explain the need for a powerful front brake!
