Retro plans for 2013.

The usual. Try to complete a few more bikes instead of getting distracted by the lure of the next 'great deal'.

Also hoping to get more riding done this year. Hopefully we won't have another wettest summer on record again so I don't have to destroy too many rims, brakes and drivetrains.

Also looking to move house to get a bit more room and probably buy a van for the all important bike transportation.

I am hoping I can ride just as much as I did this year. On Jan 21 we are expecting our second child...

In 2013 one of my best friends is getting married so as a stag party we want to do the Trans Wales or doe something similar in Ireland. I really hope I can get away for a weekish...

Ah the old what are you doing for the new year thread.

I plan to thin down my retro fleet, spend less time on here (sorry), and ride more.

Having said that I do have at least one bike to finish which is a 1999 Sunn Totall Flex for my other half.

first making money to finance the nice bikes !!
if there is time left over, on the plan are

1- Yo Eddy Aqua Fade
2- Merlin Mountain
3- Salsa a la Carte
4- Ritchey Project 20

.........it's crazy right?

Change of income source means from January I can actually commute!

I can also visit the tip more!

But, less income, plus I need a better car so expect a sale of a few more bits I suppose...

Wont be at any meets this year either as work will get in the way (unless a few Sunday rides come up?).

I'm gonna build something modern and carbon. The frame should be here in the next few days.. :)

Oh, and get a retro karma bike built (out of karma parts) and raffle it off for karma at Mayhem this year (if it goes ahead)

Well...

1. Finally respray the Zinn as it still as the original paint.
2. Find some period correct forks for the Giant
3. Rebuild the Puch wheels as they look like Disco crisps
4. Buy an 80's Cannondale ( I have two in mind)
5. Ride them all more - I'm a right fat biffa at the moment :-(

2013 will see me becoming a cycling commuter once again (shopping trip for Altura night vision kit tomorrow), as well as a possible return to the odd downhill race. The most important thing to me though is to share my passion for the sport and look to the future, namely ensuring my nipper is given the right encouragement to enable him to enjoy a cycle ride with his old man :D

1. Start and finish the projects I bought earlier this year
2. Hopefully get to some South west retro bike rides
3. Take my son to race at some national races ( Bmx racing)and all of the regionals to qualify for the British championships again

Kirbdug :D
