What was it like and how did you do? Oh, and what bike did you race?

Thanks for asking, not sure why I had not raced before then, but anyway I had a great day until showboating in the bomb hole somewhat slowed me down. Took me a while to get moving again I recall.
Afterwards I raced for then next seventeen years, Probably circa 150 plus races mostly fairly mediocre, but aways great fun.
Bike raced on the day was a Saracen Blizzard.
