Retro looking saddle which is comfy

I'm using a Charge Spoon at the moment on my Flying Scot. It's extremely comfortable (for me) and you can pick them up for around £15, in fact Wiggle were selling them new for £15 a few months back

I use a Brooks B67 on my 1996 Univega. Super comfy. All my road bikes have either Wrights, Brooks or Lycett - leather is best!

For a retro mountain bike I would go with an old WTB with the drop nose. I survived the 90's on one of these,

Then probably not a Spoon, remembering what Jonny said. You should be able to find a lightly used WTB Rocket on ebay and that has the padded tip that provides peri-friendliness:

Agree, first tried a Rolls when I saw Hinault using one BITD, I haven't looked back - maybe because I'm off the back!

I too used a Flite titanium for years on MTB's.
I'm now a total Charge Spoon convert.. The Cro-mo version comes in at £15-20, which is good value.
I believe they also do a leather/Ti version, but not tried this.

Its actually quite light, weight has never really been a big plus point for me. Solid reliable engineering is more important.
