Retro decal application

Just received a set of decals from Gil. I'm sure this is the place to ask about the best way to apply them. Wet or dry. I would imagine wet would be more forgiving. Any other tips would be helpful.

Ifs its pairs of decals, such as downtube....i tend to use a chinagraph pencil and draw a line down the tube middle from head to bottle mounts. This i find helps to get them even side to side....
