Retro clothing especially longs

Dirt Disciple
I've had a trawl through some of the retro clothing suppliers looking for "classic" style longs, what I mean is the style we were wearing back in the 80's/90's with the coloured panel on one side all the way from the waist down to just above the knee, hope that makes sense. Though I see there a re a few suppliers selling shorts of this design I haven't yet found any equivalent longs. I still have quite a few retro jerseys as they never seem to wear out but longs do take a lot more punishment and I'm embarrassed to go out in the pairs I still have.

Any ideas anyone?

You get the same look from shorts and full leg warmers.

Jussayin'...

I think that's the reason why it's difficult to find bib longs with the same retro style. Obviously shorts + leg warmers is a more flexible arrangement especially if you live in the balmy South where it occasionally gets warm enough to expose your legs. But up here in the frozen North... God knows who thought it was a good idea to have a national dress that involves wearing a kilt.

I know. I spend less than three months of the year in shorts. The rest is probably 50/50 between 3/4's and longs.

I've done the shorts/warmers combo but I do prefer the feel of longs.

Goodness me that's a blast from the past I didn't know they still made these. I remember many times turning up at a youth hostel wet through and trying to get me Tudor Sport plusses dry for the following day. I prefer bikes from the 80's but not the clothes, though I guess if you want to ride L'Eroica lycra is verboten,..?

Turn up in Lycra at L'Eroica and you'll get chased back to the future by a horde of handlebar moustaches attached to tweed jackets and plus fours... Apparently.

Thought I'd bump this thread, although I'm looking for something more like this than Tudor. In fact I'd be interested in both tights and tracksuit.

I'm not a fan of the tudor sports, having had the 'double seat' go on a 55 mile ride, thr first time I wore them

The tights are pretty hard to find, tracksuit easier

Tiralento do both, but the tights are not zip ankle which is something I really want and it seems like the track pants are only available as part of a set and only in blue.

These are impressive

But I'm not sure if they'd stand up to a lot miles?
