Retro cars, which is older, your bike or your 4 wheels?

Should have kept mine really, but the ex and her pressure saw the end of that, but having had a Land Rover and a VW type 2, my next vehicle of choice will be a VW type 25 Syncro 16, last made in the early 90's, the best of both worlds, a useful size and impressive off road ability for a van and VW engineering I am impressed with.

But the 101 FC only 1500 made compared to twice that for the 88 inch air portable, so pretty rare and then Austin Gypsy even more so most of them rotted away, not that there were many to start with, but well engineered and loosely based on the Austin Champ.

As it was my wreck of an 86 inch was first delivered to me on a 2a forward control, precarious, but it did it.

Same age for me. I've got a 1991 Marin and a J reg Triumph, although it's not a car, like.

My Sqn still had an air portable rover in 95 it got cast shortly afterwards. When I was in Germany I knew somone who had the 2 prototype champs in his barn both ran and were in VG nick he's now sold them so I was told.

As for still got a 59 ser2 LI lambretta supposed to be more in the UK now than in Italy

No not really but a bit quicker swapping out an inner tube there's tubless rims now but some are so/so quailty wise I'd rather not risk it. Still it got me from Preston-lands end-John o Groats and back within 40 mils of the house when the exhaust packed in took about a week to do it with a day off on the lash around Newquay

I met a bunch of guys who were doing the end to end with a load of scooters last year. I was quite impressed, did it on an old DT250 as a teen, fully loaded with spares and camping gear, and we are talking old style heavy canvas tent and a large primus. I was quite impressed with myself! My later touring has been on much bigger bikes, smallest being my F650, the huge windshields on those guys mod style scooters would have had me blown off the road!
