Retro Bikes of Quality

Ok then, I counter you American Ritchey with the aforementioned, and British, Pace RC100. Innovations a plenty and a bike that surely stirs the sole of every right minded Brit (except Scant, who broke a number of them):

Pace bullseyes with offset spider to counter 90mm bb shell.

And the cutting edge Pace aheadset made from a machined out xc-pro headset. Headset is tensioned under the fork clamp and then the clamp is tightened to lock everything - all you need is a 10mm spanner and a 5mm allen key to adjust the headset.

You mean 2 bikes in one week?... I took my lead from Piggy (I know, bad call!). I'll skip a week now... If the thread lasts that long.

bad news. they maybe "bikes of quality" but so far not one excites me in a want to own one way.

Why not post up a picture of a San Andreas then - the worlds first monocoque, full suspension, fully disked bike? Maybe that is a bike of quality that you might like? It's contribution to modern bikes is huge, and it's contribution to this thread would also be huge, unlike that negative comment of yours.

Pete that manitou is immense. Being relatively new here I had not seen it before. I love the bike but I especially love the story or discovery.

To find such specific and rare parts must have been very hard but more than that, very rewarding!

Hope I get the chance one day to do something similar, shame you can't ride it but I confess, I would be exactly the same.
