Restored 1993 Indian Fire Trail

Retro Newbie
A while back I posted an enquiry about restoring an Indian Fire trail and am pleased to say that the project is now nearly complete. I had the frame and stem/bar ends powder coated and obtained reproduction decals too. I've kept as many of the original components as were salvageable and added new complimentary stuff to make the bike bespoke. The bottle cages are original Marin and will resprayed the same as the stem.

Back in 1993 this was my dream bike but I couldn't possibly afford one then!! So in a sense I was building a dream but this time for my daughter and wife to ride (I have a Cotic Soul)

I'm really pleased with it and think it's quite a stunner now!

very nice job, where did you get the frame/stem sprayed?

Hi Apologies I realise this is quite an old post now so not sure if Saxon, you're still around, but I picked up a IFT late last year, just like you I'd loved to have owned one back in the back, but had to make use with a DB Topanga for my sins. Bit cheeky asking, but I'd like to get mine back up to scratch, but I'm having a bit of a hard time figuring out sizes etc for components, the handlebar is very narrow for example, but I don't know what size it is to replace it.

Would you have any details, you could share? Anything would be appreciated.

Cheers

Not a big fan of bright things or coloured bits & pieces personally, but that does look almost too nice! good work..
