Replacing XTR 950, FH-M950 freewheel, alterantive freewheel?

Hi all,

just found out that the freewheel on my newly acquired XTR 950 rear hub is not working properly (after I put on the cassette and tightened the lockring it is not moving anymore). I did a bit of research and it seems that freewheels from the M737 and M750 rear hubs are compatible, all other exploded view drawings I checked, show an additional washer which the XTR one does not have, or a completely different setup.

Any experience in solving this one/alternative parts which will be easier to access?

OK...so it works with a M750 - the freewheels are compatible and the mount is the same (the M750 freewheel is 2mm wider and will allow mounting some 9 gear cassettes, which are too wide for the M950 freewheel). Only thing you need to do is change the freewheel-side cone and seal b/c its diameter and shape is a bit different.
