Replacement jocky wheels for xtr m900

Finally found the ones I have stashed away, no idea why I out them in a bolt tin, only found them as I was looking for a brake boss.

Are you sure they’ll fit mate - the M900 has special narrow ones. Think I’ve been down the path before of trying to use M739 ones and they don’t fit.

Sadly, i also think ishaw, they won't fit. I tried a standard pair from a deore mech and they are too wide.

They are the centeron narrow ceramic type.

Without the centeron pully, i would think the shifting would not be as good, as the lower model wheels are fixed rather then floating.

I understand that the roller boys ones cause the same issue as they have no float, but at least they are the right width...

Is there some other problem than using a bit longer bolts instead?
You are probably right as the jockey is narrow.

The only solution I’ve found is shimano M900 ones, which are ultra rare, and then the Tacx and Rollerboys.

Both the Tacx and Rollerboys have decent ceramic options and I know do fit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the float is just the centre spacer being longer than the jockey width, allowing a bit of play?

I'd assume as above that the width issue suggested could be solved by slightly longer cage bolts, though how much narrower are the m900 ones, they've still got to run an 8 speed chain.

I've not had m900 for a long time so can't compare. I've never thought about this in the past and used various jockeys, alloy and plastic and maybe got away with it.

M737 etc all fit, in fact the centron is the same one. yes the centron is just a bit of added play, i forget who adds this to their replacement ones.
Only thing special is the ball bearing tension pully, but other will fit and work fine.

I suppose it's down to 'get it working' or having quality stuff on M900.
