Repairing rust holes.

I'd be concerned that there's more corrosion. Everything else may be fine, but I'd want to know for sure before spending any more on it, or indeed riding the shit out of it.

Get it stripped back and take a proper look. Then, when you have a complete picture, decide what to do next.

Aside from the hole. It looks from that one picture like a terrible job and £300 is extortion for powder.

Damn - I know the feeling. I had my Scott Pro Racing blasted and Cerakote'd, applied new decals and then noticed the surface rust on the underside of the chain stays has actually turned in to a pin hole... which then opened up a bit more once I poked it.

Hoping I can get a repair done like the video above.

But yeah I'll echo £300 is a lot for a powder coat, especially with that BB finish. I think the last frame and fork I had done was £100 and I think that was in Cerakote with an additional clear. Granted it's just a regular frame but still..

It’s Triple S at Bingley.. £225 plus VAT for frame, fork and stem. Expensive, certainly. I really didn’t realise just how good armortex in London were … Shame they closed.

Cerakote for £100?! Where?

Just checked and yup - for a regular frame only - blast and Cerakote it was £65 although I do think I might have a slight discount on their system. I’m still pretty sure it’s around £100 for frame and fork though. Always worth an ask to check. They do quality work. The main man, Paul, was/is in to his push bikes so he’s always curious what I bring in whenever I need something doing.
