Removing anodizing....

I cannot seem to be able to find threads on removing anodizing...?

I am going embarking on a 'polishing' mission for the Fisher, following my FUNK project..

I have an array of colors on the Fisher and am going to polish the lot, inclding the ROCK SHOX Judy SL's

Thanks

Mark

The sliders on Judy SLs were made from a magnesium rather than aluminium alloy, weren't they? Doubt they would react too kindly to being stripped with harsh alkalis and probably wouldn't polish up too pretty either. I might be wrong though...

i've used oven pride, couple of quid from asda. it comes with a bag that you put the stuff in and your bike bits. worked a treat. ;)

remember those were cnc'd after forging and the cnc'd top layer is pretty much gone. although i would have no technical doubts to ride them since the cnc surface doesnt take any loads in my opinion i wont since im rather the clydesdale type of guy... guess i will keep them for memories of that beautiful moment ... ;)

edit: I'll have to say that was 2 years ago, and the cranks are still mine while the girlfriends gone  when i read that topic i had to post them - just to say be careful with these fluids and your beloved parts....
