I think they are just long bar ends Regan, i have seen them on a few of his later bikes too.

Not sure what the name of these Profile bars is,

but can someone tell me how wide they are,

as pictured on Ned Overend's 1990 Worlds bike?

That's a Profile XC Durango bar extension kit, and according to this:

they came in two widths, to fit 20" or 22" bars. I don't know which version Ned used.
