Regina America freewheel removal

Am I right in thinking that the Regina America uses a standard Regina freewheel tool? It's a 7 speed freewheel, with a plastic cover that pops over the last sprocket once installed, I imagine to help keep muck out. I can take the cover off, but without taking the axle out of the hub, I can't get to or see the splines to see if they're the standard Regina type.

If anyone could confirm the tool needed, that would be great!

And if anyone has a Regina tool that they don't need and would be willing to part with, I'd also be interested!

thanks!

Quick google says it's the park tools FR 5 that removes it, not sure that this is right as that's a cassette lockring remover

You need the Park Tools FR-4 for the Regina Cassette. It has 20 splines

The FR-5 only has 12 splines

I had a similar problem with a Regina block that it needed the axle removed for the splined removal tool to be inserted then I found an easier method by holding the block with a chain whip and using a second chain whip to unscrew the smallest sprocket (similar to a cassette lock ring removal) that then allowed normal insertion of the removal tool.....voila, no more hassle!

This is a genuine Regina freewheel removal tool

Blimey that's a lot of metalwork to remove a freewheel......isn't that a remover and chainwhip to remove a casette lockring?

Just curious as the Regina America was 1992 which is a bit out of period for me :)
