Refurbing titanium - save me from myself..

Picked up a Ti frame recently. It’s in good condition beyond the many tiny little scratches it has picked up over it’s life. It could be built and would look good right now… but, having watched the Litespeed Ti refurb video on the restoration hints thread, I figure I am now fully qualified to have a shot myself.

However, just in case I am wrong, I thought I would just confirm that the red fibre pad I picked up is the correct grade - you know - so that I won’t utterly ruin the brushed finish on the frame out of base stupidity (as opposed to just technical incompetence).

This is what I have acquired. Can anyone pls share views as to whether this appears to be the appropriate grade (and not too coarse)? Thanks! D0992CE2-532F-48F2-A960-2F69080F4D7E.webp

I used scotch-brite 'very fine' 7447 pads to good effect on a ti frame. They were also a maroon colour, which would seem to bode well for the one you have pictured.

Also remember you don’t have to go at full force, start gently, easy does it.
And lubrication is key so that you don’t build up chunks of junk that start making new deeper scratches
