red tires on a Marin Eldridge?

Rebuilding a Marin Eldridge for my niece...she is a tall 16 year old...I need wheels and a crank, but I really want to make it different but not too flashy. I will be sticking to the original paint colour for a 1992 but i would like to put on a set of street tires...not slicks but not to knobby either...

I was looking at Kenda Kwest K838, but red ones... :?:

any suggestions?

Presumably the one with red ano bits and not the Zolatone/orange one?

Not very "retro", and a bit left field, but a pair of Schwalbe Super Moto might be an option.

It's a pretty high and wide tire (2.3), handy if your niece is tall for a 15".

I think they are a great tire, low rolling resistance, versatile at different pressures and pretty hard wearing.

Could be an issue with canti's but I'm sure I had some running on a D straddle.
