Red Hope skewers on Blue Hope hubs? Swap?

I've got three sets of old style first generation hope QR's, red, silver and blue, to go with three sets of Blue hope hubs, two pairs of ti-glides and one set of sports, can I get away with using the red set with blue hubs or is that a really bad fashion faux pas?

Ps) I think the solid sports are most likely to get the red ones.

Pps) Anyone got a set to swap with the red ones? Silver / Gold / blue

"...the red set with blue hubs...." will be fine with white rims, if a little jingoistic!
