Recently finished very large scale Avro Lancaster model

Been at this kit for over a year but finally managed to conquer it

The kit is made by Border Model and the scale is 1/32nd, my tribute to R5689 VN-N, being such a big model it's hard to take photos of it.

Wingspan of a real one is 31m so this must nearly be a metre wide. Great job, very impressive.

Do you know Foz! I've no idea pal as I've never measured it but it's big! Does this pic help how big it is ? The little Lanc's hanging on the wall are 1/72nd, I'll see about measuring it......''Said The Nun To The Vicar''

Thanks! I've been making Lancasters for 35 odd years now, so got the touch in making them look right, the average life of a Lancaster was a week, so weathering one with a mass of chipping & filth everywhere and looking like a Tank is wrong, unless it was a kite that had flown plenty of sorties.

The patience always amazes me

Not wrong and this kit pushed me to the limit, the parts fractured and then snapped in pieces, so every part I removed off the sprue I had to repair/recement back up.....Ballache.
