Really!?? ANOTHER BROKEN RINGLE FACE PLATE!!! ARRGG

So, the first one that broke was on my Yo EDDY for 3 yrs before it decided to split down the middle(pictured).

I recently went on an epic biking trip in Pisgah, North Carolina and my other Yo Eddy suffered a broken face plate as well. This sucks because the Ringle stack height is the only that will fit my forks.

Any one else break these stupid things like i do? Now I need another face plate. Anyone got a black one around?

obi-wan-mtb has a black Zooka for sale. I know it's a bit much if you just want the faceplate from it, but if all else fails at least you have an option!

Is it any suprise? Look at the design, the part subject to the most load is the thinest piece. :?

Broke my silver one years ago and the rest of it has been hanging round the shed ever since. It is a shame really as it is in absolutely mint condition and now just serves as a paperweight to hold manuals down on the shelf.

surely there is someone out there that could reproduce some face plates for these stems.

i know there are a couple of folks on here that do CNC work.

surely a face plate for a stem would be quite easy to reproduce.

obviously getting them annodized is another matter.
