You're welcome to stay. We talk and show proper bikes here. The other sections are for toy bikes.

Toys are for fun and laughs, proper bikes sound really dull ;)

So many fantastic bikes all worthy of the title am just sorry i can only pick one and its not been easy but for me its the Dave Russell. Well done everybody your all winners to me.

Better point out that mine is from 1974!

Modern tyres as it was an active commuter and started out as this:

Re:

Willy Wonkers Chocolate factory this month

Cracking bikes all .
May the thread be with you.

Closes door behind........,

Cheers!

As to the age of the bikes themselves, mine is only 6 months younger than me but lends itself to be rebuilt with modern gear very easily which is what I love about old road stuff. MTB is a bit of a nightmare with 'new' standards every six months with marketing re-inventing the wheel on a weekly basis.

I'm a bit worn out with the MTB side and just want the time and daylight to go for a ride...

Re:

Seems to me that might be the reason for the two main camps of retrobike. Road bikes dont change much over the years and thus suit a more conservative crowd. Mountain bikes are all about trying to make a bike do what it was not primarily invented for by the application of technology and thus attracts a more radical following.

I like both dependent on mood.

LGF has a new old bike which i really like in the form of the Bobbin Scout. Not inovative but dam fine none the less :D
