RBotM December 2020 - Open Month - Entries Open Now!!

Welcome to RBotM December 2020
This month is an open month meaning it is open to all retrobikes
(With one exception, If the bike has previously won a RBotM then it cannot be entered )

So dig out those new builds, old builds, original classics gathering dust in the back of the shed, dust them off, get a photo or two and write a line telling us what it is. It's that simple

Usual rules apply, one entry per member, 2 photos and a brief paragraph with a link to a build page in readers rides or a website etc, entries open until end of month with the winner decided by a 5 day public vote. More detailed rules can be seen in the wiki pages.

Hope it’s not too quick off the mark, my entry for RBotM for December.
1949 Sun Wasp rescued from a bit of a junk shop for £50 and a voyage of discovery to find out what was under 3 coats of Dulux (other brands of house paint are available). As always a lot learnt during the build, particularly about GB components. Hope you like it.

Here is my newest (1964) Locomotief :xmas-big-grin:
A (Dutch) brand. Tubular tires, Crankset Stronglight 63 Super Competition. Brooks B17 saddle. Titan bars and stem (1964). Size 55 centimeters centre-top. Nervex lugs (different types in front and rear, due to the regular thing framebuilder Bertus Slesker (Amsterdam, later Dieren, Gazelle) used to do. Campagnolo dropouts. Derailleurs are (pity) from later years early 70's Shimano Thunderbird front and rear Eagle. 28 inch 700C. tubulars wheels. Super Champion Ar-en-ciel rims. Front wheels a Shimano hub of later era, rear wheel high flange green anodized coloured Altenburger. Freewheel Atom, 14-16-18-20-22-24. Tubulars Schwalbe Lugano T.

As its December and its an open month I thought I'd go all Christmassy and what's more Christmassy than a BSA TDF under the tree?

Its 1979 all over again only this time I got what I wanted even though I did have to buy it myself.

Anyway ladies and gentlemen for this months competition in all its Christmassy glory (its even got a bow on it) I give you my well polished BSA Tour De France with it's ground up restoration build thread here

All are lovely and such a variation so that there is something for all tastes in that mix.

My entry for RBotM, finished a little earlier this year, a lockdown resto-mod.

My Raleigh Competition, Reynolds 531c, 1985 same age as me, original paint, upgraded to full Shimano 600 groupset, now being put to some good use in the Surrey Hills (on dry days!)
