Raven 4000 at Gisburn?

A few of my mates are heading over to Gisburn at the end of the month. Now a couple have expressed concern about my raven going round there...what are you're thoughts?

I've happily rattled round the Red F8 on my fully rigid 92 Muddy fox, walked down 2 of the really steep steppy bits (about 20 yds in total) with no problems at all, unless your Raven (no idea what one is ) is made of glass you shouldn't have any worries , I was also running toeclips BTW.
Have a blast
Matthew :D

not knowing the region, i dont think that back in the 90s there were any concerns on riding here and there, we just did it no matter the conditions.
c'mon, there were DH races with half the pack on front suspension only ;pp
maybe the mighty V steals attention of the more modern bikes.
its all about the skills, i guess.

I was more concerned about 90's carbon fibre frame technology and my 15 stone girth! The frame is immaculate so no structural problems.

went their in feb 2010 on a grisley mega 2.0 rigid not to many probs

It's only a problem if you can't find it...

Was there rigid on the Ibis a couple of weeks back, no problems at all :) It is a ridiculous brakingbump mess though, very little chance to flow anywhere - found myself manualing mid-berm quite regularly!

Some of the RB North West Area regulars frequent the place too.
As far as I know, nobody has broken their bike there and nobody has died yet.

I'm sure that you and your Raven will be absolutely fine.

You'll be fine on a Raven. It's like people that think they need a 150mm full susser to do the Dalby red route. Gisburn a bit more difficult than Dalby but still not particularly hard.
