Dirt Disciple
I've recently finished building a GT LTS 1000, to which I've fitted a pair of Rock Shox Judy Xl forks. I got them of ebay, so I stripped and re-greased them before fitting. The damper cartridge worked OK and all the other internals seemed to be there (although I'm not sure what should be inside the fork as I've previously used Marzocchis rather than Rock Shox).
When the fork is ridden it rattles a lot, which I assume is due to the springs flexing within the fork legs. My question is: is this normal for a Judy, if not is there anything that can be done to quieten them down a bit? When I re-built the fork I greased everything up with Judy Butter, but now I'm wondering if I have been a bit mean with the grease.
